NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – University of Dayton senior
Nicole Waters was named the Atlantic 10's Women's Soccer Co-Player of the Week for games played Oct. 26-Nov. 1.
The midfielder from Terra Cotta, Ontario, Canada, tallied eight points on the week. She scored a goal and had the assist on the game-winning goal in Dayton's 5-2 home win over Duquesne Oct. 29.
She had a part in all three goals in UD's 3-1 win over Massachusetts Nov. 1, which clinched the No. 2 seed in the A-10 Championship for the Flyers. Waters scored two goals and had an assist on the final goal.
Waters has 17 assists this season, one away from tying Dayton's single-season record, which she owns. She also owns the Flyer record for career assists (54). Waters currently leads the nation in assists per game (a category she also led as a sophomore).
