GAME PREVIEW
• The University of Dayton baseball team will travel up the road to Fairborn to take on crosstown foe Wright State at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Nischwitz Stadium.
• The Flyers are 11-27 on the year and 6-15 away from  home this season. Dayton is coming off a tough series sweep at Davidson in Atlantic 10 play, but has won its last two non-conference games. The Flyers defeated Toledo and Akron last week and will face another Ohio opponent on Tuesday.
• Wright State has had a strong 2015 season, going 27-10 overall and putting itself in the conversation for a Top 25 ranking. Most recently, the Raiders have won seven in a row, including a sweep of Oakland and wins over Cincinnati and Miami (OH).

WHO TO WATCH - DAYTON
• Offensively, Dayton is batting .238 with 64 doubles and 40 stolen bases to go with 176 free passes.
• Leading the way for UD is senior A.J. Ryan, who has seven home runs and 23 RBI, and sophomore Glenn Jones, who is batting .274 with three home runs.
• As a pitching staff, Dayton has a 5.01 ERA and 267 strikeouts in 338 innings of work. Freshman Tyson Schnitkey and junior Sam Brunner anchor the bullpen with 32 combined appearances.
• Defensively, the Flyers have a .958 fielding percentage with 62 errors and 23 double plays.

WHO TO WATCH - THE OPPONENT
• Wright State has a team batting average of .295 and 113 extra-base hits along with a .422 slugging percentage. The Raiders have also stolen 44 bases and drawn 178 free passes.
• The offensive leaders for WSU are freshman Gabe Snyder, with 29 RBI and 13 doubles, and sophomore Mitch Roman, with a .338 average and 26 RBI. The Raiders have seven players with 20 or more RBI on the season.
• The pitching staff has combined for a 3.38 ERA and 247 K's compared to 112 walks. Andrew Elliott leads the team with five saves in 17 appearances.
• The  Raiders defensively have a .973 fielding percentage and 39 errors in 37 games.

LAST MEETING
Dayton and Wright State met twice in 2014 including a 6-0 win for the Raiders at home in the final meeting of the season on May 7. Earlier in the year, WSU defeated UD twice more at home during the Dayton Classic.

BUETTGEN EARNS A-10 HONORS
Dayton senior pitcher Noah Buettgen was named Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Week on March 30 after his efforts in a 12-strikeout, eight-inning victory over La Salle on March 28. It was the most strikeouts in the league this year and a career-high for Buettgen.

POLANSKY OFF TO STRONG START
Dayton junior transfer Ben Polansky made his first start in a Flyer uniform on April 14 against Toledo and threw a complete game shutout in the 3-0 victory over the Rockets. The California native allowed just three hits and struck out four in the outing.
