DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton baseball team will travel to Ohio State University on Tuesday for a 6:35 p.m. contest before returning home Wednesday to host Butler University at 4 p.m.

Dayton is 9-20 on the year and 2-4 in road contests in 2015. The Flyers are coming off a series loss to VCU this past weekend, but was victorious in their last non-conference showdown, an 8-5 meeting with Xavier last Tuesday.

Ohio State is 21-7 overall with a 12-2 home record and four-game winning streak. The Buckeyes have had a strong month, losing just once in the last 10 outings since March 21.

Butler enters the week with a 12-18 record and 5-10 road mark. The Bulldogs have already picked up a win at Dayton this year and will look to repeat that on Wednesday.

Dayton offensively is batting .235 with 47 doubles, 11 home runs, and 33 stolen bases through 29 games.

Senior Alex Harris leads the team with a .296 average and eight doubles while fellow senior A.J. Ryan has a team-high 19 RBI and four home runs.

The Buckeyes have a team ERA of 2.61 with 193 k's and 61 walks in 28 games.
 
Butler is batting .290 through 30 games with 65 doubles, 28 stolen bases, and a .375 on-base percentage.

Ryan Wojciechowski has driven in a team-high 22 runs while batting for a .339 average. Five different Bulldogs are batting over .300 on the season.

Butler's pitching staff has struck out 184 batters and posted a 5.47 ERA in 258 1/3 innings of work.
 
LAST MEETING
Dayton and Ohio State last met on April 9, 2014 in Columbus. The Flyers came out on top in that contest 8-5 after senior Alex Harris drove in three and sophomore Nick Gobert pitched six solid innings.

The Flyers have already faced Butler this year back on March 25. The Bulldogs came in to Dayton and defeated the Flyers 12-7 thanks to a four-RBI performance by Chris Marras.
