PULA, Croatia - University of Dayton volleyball rising senior Alaina Turner has been selected to participate in the 2015 Global Challenge as part of the U22 BIP Southeastern Team. Turner is coming off the best season of her career as a Flyer after being named the Atlantic 10 Player of the Year as well as an AVCA Honorable Mention All-American.

The Global Challenge is a 24-team international tournament, a perfect opportunity for American volleyball players to participate in several matches against foreign teams. The event is in its 11th year and is being held in Pula, Croatia July 12-16.

Turner's team will play a total of six games during the course of the international event. She will have the chance to gain the unique experience of playing against two U19 Hungarian National Teams, the U20 Italian Junior National Team, the U22 Israel National Team, and various teams from Slovenia.
