FLYERS PREPARE FOR A-10 CHAMPIONSHIP

DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton men's cross country team will travel to Mechanicsville, Va. on Saturday Oct. 29, 2016 for the Atlantic 10 Cross Country Championships at Pole Green Park.

The Flyers will participate in a five-mile race, which will begin at 10:50 a.m.

Dayton will compete against the other 13 A-10 teams at the league meet.  Hunter Johnston led Dayton runners with a 15th-place finish last year while fellow senior Kyle Lach was not far behind, placing 20th.

This year's race will be streamed live and free of charge on the A-10 Network, weather permitting. More information is available on the 2016 Atlantic 10 Cross Country Championship central page, along with live results and course maps.

The Flyers last competed in the NCAA Division I Pre-National Invitational on Oct. 15 and finished 28th out 41 regionally ranked teams.  They have found great success this season, finishing second in the Flyer 5k Challenge, third in the National Catholic Invitational, third in the Friendship Invitational, and second in the All-Ohio Championship.

Dayton is regionally ranked for the first time in five years in 10th, and looks to continue the momentum.  It ties the highest ranking in program history.
