DAYTON -- University of Dayton women's soccer player
Libby Leedom has been selected to the 2016 CoSIDA Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team. This accolade recognizes the nation's leading student-athletes for their exemplary athletic and academic accomplishments. In order to qualify for this honor, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve and maintain cumulative G.P.A of 3.30.
On the pitch, the senior midfielder from Florence, Ky. has scored five goals, has one assist, and possesses 11 points this season. In the classroom, Leedom has a 3.91 G.P.A with a double major in pre-medicine and psychology.
Some of Leedom's previous achievements include a 2015 All-Atlantic 10 Second Team selection, and being a member of the Fall 2015 Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll, and Spring 2016 Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll.
As a member of the Academic All-District Team, Leedom will then proceed to the CoSIDA All-America Team ballot. Since 1970, a total of 87 University of Dayton student-athletes have been named Academic All-Americans.
The Flyers' next appearance at home will be a match against the University of Massachusetts on Oct. 30 at 1 p.m.ET at Baujan Field.
