FLYERS FINISH AS NO. 10 IN GREAT LAKES RANKINGS

NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association kept the University of Dayton in the Great Lakes men's regional rankings for the third consecutive and final edition of the list.

The Flyers stayed at No. 10 despite winning the 2016 Atlantic 10 Championship after being picked to finish ninth preseason. UD defeated six other regionally ranked programs.

Dayton also had four All-Conference performers, the most ever for the Flyers. Senior Hunter Johnston, junior Tyler Adgalanis, and sophomores Spencer Danielson and Chris Negri earned All-A-10 honors.

UD was also the first Division I men's cross country only program to win the conference title.

The Flyers entered the rankings on Oct. 3 at No. 14, the first ranking for UD in over five years. Dayton then jumped to No. 10 on Oct. 17 and stayed there for the final poll this week.

UD and the rest of the region will compete at the NCAA Division I Great Lakes Regional meet on Nov. 11 in Madison, Wis. hosted by Great Lakes Regional leader Wisconsin. The event will take place at Zimmer Championship Course at noon.
