Box Score GALESBURG, Ill. – The University of Dayton men's tennis team kicked off its three match road trip in style on Thursday afternoon, sweeping Western Illinois 7-0 at the WIU Tennis Complex.
Dayton earned the doubles point with ease, as top doubles pair
Zach Berry and
Carsten Fisher along with the Flyers' third doubles partners
Andy Druffel and
Kyle MacDonald each swept their Leatherneck foes, 6-0.
Jordan Benjamin and
Lorenzo Rollhauser, playing at No. 2 doubles, took down their WIU opponents 6-4.
Benjamin, Fisher and Berry pulled off sweeps of Western Illinois at the top three singles spots while
Simon Jayaram earned a 8-7 win,
Graham Reinbold won 6-2, 6-2, and
Kyle MacDonald capped off the sweep with a 6-0, 6-1 victory.
