DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton baseball team will head down the road to Oxford, Ohio on Wednesday with the second meeting of the season with Miami of Ohio.

The Flyers are 6-17 on the season and coming off a big 5-2 win over Eastern Kentucky Tuesday that ended a three-game skid. Dayton is 2-9 on the road this season, however, the Flyers have won three of their last six games. Head Coach Tony Vittorio is in his 17th year in charge.

Miami enters the game with a 9-13 mark on the season with a 2-2 home record. Head Coach Danny Hayden is in his third season in charge. The RedHawks already faced Dayton earlier in the year and suffered an 11-8 loss to the Flyers. MU was blitzed by Morehead State in its last game on Tuesday, 17-3 in Kentucky.

LAST MEETING
  • Dayton and Miami last squared off on March 8, 2016 in Dayton, Ohio with the Flyers picking up a 11-8 win at home. Leading the way for UD was Doring, Weybright, and Huesman, who all drove in a pair of runs. Huesman went 3-for-5 in the contest while Doring homered and went 2-for-4 with two runs scored. Four different Flyers had multi-hit games.
