DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton baseball team will return to action this Tuesday at 4 p.m. at Woerner Field when it hosts Butler University.
The Flyers enter the week with a 7-20 record overall with a 4-6 home mark including a 5-2 win over Eastern Kentucky in their last home contest. Dayton is led by 17

Butler is 8-19 this season with a 2-12 road record and enters the week on a four-game losing streak. The Bulldogs have faced one common opponent in Saint Louis, going 1-2 against the Billikens. This will be the lone meeting between Dayton and Butler this season.

LAST OUTING- Dayton ended the VCU series with a tough 5-3 loss to the Rams after taking the initial lead. The Flyers fell in game one of the series before taking game two Saturday. VCU won the rubber match after touching up UD starter Austin Cline for four runs, three earned, in five innings. Mark Giesler drove in a pair for the Flyers.
- Butler suffered a 6-1 loss to Indiana State at home on Sunday, ending the series with a ISU sweep. Tyler Houston drove in the lone run for the Bulldogs while Jeff Schank went seven innings in the losing effort on the mound.
