The University of Dayton women's cross country team will be traveling to Cedarville University this Friday to compete in the All-Ohio Championship 6K race. The race is set to take place at 2 p.m.at the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course.
The race will had a free live video stream, weather permitting.
There will be 48 teams competing with competitors from top universities in Ohio such as NCAA Division I opponents: Akron, Cincinnati, Cleveland State, Dayton (ranked 13th in the Great Lakes Region), Miami (ranked 15th in the Great Lakes Region), Ohio, Ohio State (ranked fifth in the Great Lakes Region), Wright State and Xavier.Â
Last year the Flyers took third place overall in the All-Ohio, following Ohio University and Miami (Ohio). Junior
Emily Leonard finished second out of 129 runners with a 6K time of 21:17.85 which broke the course record by more than 23 seconds. Â Sophomore

The Flyers have gained momentum from their weekend of races at Notre Dame's National Catholic Invitational in South Bend, Ind. and the Friendship Invitational at Cedarville two weeks ago; the Friendship ran on the same course as the All-Ohio Championship.Â
