Margo Wolf has been named the Atlantic 10 Volleyball Co-Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the league office Monday. Wolf helped lead the Flyers to two wins over Dayton's Atlantic 10 home-opening weekend.
Fordham's Kaitlin Morley was named the Player of the Week and Rebekah Strange of VCU shares Defensive Player of the Week honors with Wolf. McKenna Lahr of Fordham was named the conference's Rookie of the Week. All awards were for matches played Sept. 25 – Oct. 1.
Wolf led the Flyers to wins over Duquesne and La Salle last week, averaging 5.14 digs per set. The libero from Cincinnati, Ohio, recorded 19 digs in a 3-1 win over Duquesne on Friday and followed that with a match-high 17 digs in a straight-set win over La Salle on Sunday. For the weekend, Wolf also averaged 0.86 assists and 0.43 aces per set.
Dayton returns to the road this week and is set to play at Fordham Friday and Rhode Island on Saturday.
