NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Atlantic 10 Conference announced its All-Academic teams for cross country and honored a pair of University of Dayton male student-athletes on the team.
Juniors
Spencer Danielson and
Chris Negri both earned All-Academic honors this season for their accomplishments on the course and in the classroom
"Spencer and Chris are deserving of the award for All-Academic team as they work just as hard in the classroom as they do for the sport," said head coach
Jason Ordway. "Excelling in computer engineering and mechanical engineering is no small feat, but these two show it can be done with strong work ethic and good time management. Our team prides itself on our academic success and these two are excellent examples of that."
Danielson placed 36
th at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional meet this past weekend after finishing 13
th at the A-10 Championships at the prior event. Negri placed third overall at the A-10 race and added a Top 40 finish at the regional meet.
Both Danielson and Negri earned All-Conference honors this year as well as Dayton won its second consecutive A-10 title in Leesburg, Va.
