Men's Cross Country

#UDMXC CONTINUES OUTDOOR SEASON AT OLIVER NIKOLOFF

The Flyers Compete In The Second Outdoor Meet This Spring

DAYTON – The University of Dayton men's cross country team will travel to Cincinnati, Ohio this weekend to compete in the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational.

The meet will be held on Friday, March 31 and Saturday, April 1 at Gettler Stadium on the campus of the University of Cincinnati.

The 10000m is the only track event that will be run on Friday, March 31 and it will begin at 6 p.m. On Saturday, April 1, field events will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by track events which begin at noon.

Dayton's last meet was a record-breaking one at the Stan Lyons Invitational in Indianapolis two weeks ago. At that meet, sophomore Chris Negri set a school record in the 3000m with a time of 8:22.43. Negri's record breaking time was also good enough for a first-place finish. Four other runners also set new PR's that placed them in the Top 10 all-time in the 3000m.

Dayton now looks to build on that success heading into this weekend's Oliver Nikoloff Invitational. The Flyer's will participate in four events including the 800m, 1500m, 5000m, and 10000m.

The competition at the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational includes many in-state rival schools, including Cincinnati, Xavier, Ohio State, Tiffin, Bowling Green, and Ohio, among others.
