LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Dayton softball senior Gabrielle Snyder has been named to the NFCA Mid-Atlantic Region Second Team as announced by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. Snyder is the first Flyer to earn NFCA All-Region recognition four-consecutive years.

She was named to the 2017 A-10 All-Conference First Team for the third-consecutive season and is also a four-time A-10 All-Conference honoree (2014 A-10 All-Rookie Team). Snyder leaves Dayton as the program's all-time hits leader (222), doubles leader (58) and with the team's best career batting average (.399). She also holds UD's single-season records for batting average (.429, 2017) and doubles (20, 2015).

The awards honor softball student-athletes from the Association's 10 regions with first, second and third team selections. NFCA member coaches from each respective region voted on the teams, and all the honorees now become eligible for selection to the 2017 NFCA Division I All-American squads. The All-America teams will be announced at approximately 5 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, May 31, via NFCA.org.
