NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released their regional rankings on Monday and moved the University of Dayton men's cross country team up one spot to No. 8

The Flyers jumped ahead of Miami (Ohio), who they defeated at the Joe Piane Meet this past weekend at Notre Dame. Dayton placed sixth overall and surpassed numerous other regionally ranked teams such as Florida State, Iowa, Miami, California, and Oklahoma.

Dayton was previously ranked No. 9 the past two weeks.

UD competes next at the NCAA Pre-National meet on Oct. 13 in Madison, Wisc.
