The ITA Men's All-American Championships qualifying rounds began on Monday in Tulsa, Okla. and
Jordan Benjamin took down David Felix from Idaho State in the opening round by a score of 6-3, 6-3. Benajamin now awaits the winner between Luis Erlenbusch of Tulane and William Howells from Notre Dame for his second round match up.  If Benjamin wins his second round matchup on Tuesday, he will need to win one more match later in the day to advance to the tournament's main draw. The main draw will begin on Thursday and feature a 64-man field.
In addition to vying for the All-American national title, players will be competing to secure a berth into the 2018 Oracle ITA National Fall Championships, which takes place November 7-11, in Surprise, Arizona. Singles quarterfinalists, consolation singles champion and finalist, along with doubles semifinalists and consolation doubles champion and finalist all earn a bid to the Fall national championship.
