AKRON, Ohio – The University of Dayton track team concluded action at the three-day 14
th Annual Akron Invitational today.
Coach Jason Ordway's Quotes:
"I'm really pleased with how our athletes performed this weekend at the Akron Invitational. We had a really good showing in all of our event areas. Our distance crew had a very good outing. In the 5k we had three PRs and the group was led by
Allison Triskett.
"Our throwing events went really well. We had three events this weekend, adding the indoor discus which is somewhat rare to compete indoor.
Alyssa Ramstetter had a personal best and that started the weekend off on the right note.
"Everyone had a chance to show what they could do. In our throwing events,
Jenni Rossi was the highlight Saturday in the shot put and weight throw.
"We're chasing after some marks. We're cleaning everything up and trying to get sharper for the SPIRE next weekend and then A-10s the week after."
