DAYTON – The University of Dayton men's cross country team will begin the 2019 track season this weekend at the Akron Invitational.

The meet will be held at Stiles Athletics Field House in Akron, Ohio with events taking place Friday through Saturday. Dayton will have student-athletes competing in the one mile, 3000m, 5000m

Chris Negri and
Luke Hoover all made notable marks at the 2018 Akron Invitational. Negri came away with a new school record for the 3000m while Hoover placed in the top six for the 5000m.

Dayton is fresh off winning their third straight Atlantic 10 Championship. Three Flyers earned All-Conference honors. UD also finished eighth at the 2018 NCAA Great Lakes Regional.

The Flyers will compete against the likes of Akron, Buffalo, Kent State, Marshall, Northern Kentucky, Penn, and Xavier.
