DAYTON -- The University of Dayton men's tennis program and head coach Ryan Meyer have announced the signing of Matt DeMarco. DeMarco will come to Dayton from Cathedral Prep in Erie, Pa. and is the younger brother of current Flyer freshman Joe DeMarco.

DeMarco is listed as a four-star recruit and a top-200 player nationally in the class of 2019 by tennisrecruiting.net. The DeMarco brothers enjoyed a great deal of success the last time they were teammates in high school, winning multiple Pennsylvania 3A State Championships in doubles play as partners.

DeMarco cited his visit to campus as the ultimate selling point leading to his commitment. "I knew that Dayton was the right fit for me after I visited because it felt like family and a place where I can succeed."

The Flyers are 4-3 this season and their next matches will be next Friday, Feb. 16 at the West Indy Racquet Club, beginning with a matchup against IUPUI at noon, followed by a match later in the day with Eastern Illinois at 5 p.m. (ET).
