NASHVILLE – The University of Dayton baseball team hits the road this weekend to take on No. 1 Vanderbilt for a three-game series. The series will be Dayton's second against top-10 opponents in the first three weeks of the season, as the Flyers also took on No. 9 Georgia in a three-game set to open the season.
The series opener on Friday will begin at 5:30 p.m. (ET), with Saturday's game scheduled for a 3 p.m. start. The Flyers and Commodores will conclude the series on Sunday at 1 p.m.
Each game will be streamed live on SEC Network Plus and fans can also listen to Vanderbilt's radio stream.
Dayton is coming off a 1-0-1 weekend in New Jersey with a 2-1 win over Seton Hall and a 3-3 draw against Fairleigh Dickinson that was called after eight innings due to darkness.
The Flyers are seeking their first win over an SEC opponent since March 14, 2004, when UD defeated Kentucky by a score of 17-9. Dayton has lost its last nine versus current Southeastern Conference teams since that victory over the Wildcats.
