NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Atlantic 10 announcedÂ
today that 10 women's rowers have been selected for the 2019 A-10 Rowing All-Academic team. University of Dayton tied for the most honorees with three on the team. Senior Kiley Tempert, junior Anna Benton, and sophomore Maggie Cahill were UD's rowers named to the 2019 A-10 All-Academic team.
Tempert, from Baltimore, Md., was an Atlantic 10 First Team selection this year as a part of Dayton's V8+. She graduated this May with a degree in accounting with a minor in sustainability, energy, and the environment (SEE).
Benton, who earned A-10 All-Academic honors for the second consecutive season, is also a two-time Google Cloud Academic All-District® 5 First Team selection. She is a chemical engineering major from Johnstown, Ohio.
Cahill is an English major from Louisville, Ky. She carries a 4.0 cumulative GPA and was also named to UD's All-Academic team this year. She is a member of Dayton's V8+.
The team was chosen by a vote of the league's rowing media relations directors to recognize student-athletes for their combined prowess in both the classroom and in their sport.
