DAYTON – The University of Dayton women's cross country team opens its 2019 season at the 38th Annual Queen City Invitational, hosted by Northern Kentucky University this Saturday. Admission is free.
The 5K race will be held at the Valhalla Cross Country Course in Highland Heights, Ky. The women's race will begin at 9:45 a.m. following the men's race which begins at 9 a.m.
The Flyers finished fourth in this event last year. Junior
Kelly Wilker had a PR in the event last year and is Dayton's top returning finisher from the 2018 Queen City. Senior

Carlee Constable, and sophomores
Maddie Loughery,
Emily Sreenan,
Aileen Hull, and
Katie Miller are UD's other leading returners from this race last season.
The Flyers were picked to finish second in the Atlantic 10 preseason poll by the coaches. They are coming off three consecutive top-two finishes, including the 2017 conference championship.
