Men’s Cross Country Releases 2021 Spring Schedule

The Flyers Have Four Meets Scheduled This Season

DAYTON – The University of Dayton men's cross country program and head coach Jason Ordway have announced their schedule for the spring season.

Despite moving the campaign from the fall to the spring due to COVID-19, the Flyers will compete in four meets in February and March.

"Our men have been incredibly resilient during this pandemic," said head coach Jason Ordway. "It can be so difficult to focus on something, even something you love and enjoy as much as your sport, when you are subjected to everything this virus has brought on during these times. We absolutely understand the importance of safety and have been adhering to all of the safety protocols to the best of our ability to keep our student-athletes out of harm's way.  Finally having a few meets on the schedule is extremely important to us. I am very pleased and thankful to be able to release our schedule at this time."

Dayton's schedule is as follows:
Feb. 6 – Wright State – Fairborn Community Park, Fairborn, Ohio
Feb. 14 – at Duquesne – Pittsburgh, Pa.
Feb. 19 – at Butler – Northview Church Course, Carmel, Ind.
March 6 – Atlantic 10 Championships – Pole Green Park, Mechanicsville, Va.
March 15 - NCAA Championship – OSU Cross Country Course, Stillwater, Okla.

The Flyers are coming off a 2019 fall campaign in which they won three meets and finished in the top six in five of the seven events. Dayton placed sixth overall at the Atlantic 10 Championships, but return a combination of experienced veterans and talented newcomers.

Please note that all meets and dates are subject to change as programs continue to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic. Scheduled athletic events are contingent on recommendations from the CDC, state, local public health, and university officials.
