DAYTON - University of Dayton volleyball head coach Tim Horsmon has announced the Flyers' spring 2021 schedule. Dayton will play a 13-match slate following an exhibition match at Louisville to open the season.

"We're just excited to play and our team continues to be hopeful for a complete season this year," commented Horsmon. "We will obviously have a condensed schedule both in and out of conference, but I believe it will be competitive and challenging nonetheless.

"With only four teams qualifying for the Atlantic 10 Championship we will have to stay healthy and play well for the next two months."

The Flyers have not seen game action since its 3-0 loss to No. 16 Marquette in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament on Dec. 6, 2019. Dayton will return to the court Feb. 6 with an exhibition match at Louisville.

The regular season will get underway on Feb. 13 with an A-10 doubleheader at Saint Louis followed by at single game at conference foe VCU on Feb. 19. Dayton will step out of league play on Feb. 23 for a trip to Athens, Ohio, to take on in-state opponent Ohio University.

Dayton's home opener will be Feb. 26 against Duquesne at Frericks Center. The following weekend, UD will play host to Davidson and VCU on March 5 and 6. Dayton is set to travel to Cincinnati on March 9 for a match at Xavier.

On March 12, Dayton will be at Davidson and then in Pittsburgh for back-to-back matches at Duquesne March 19 and 20.

The Flyers will close out their regular season at home with two matches against the Billikens on March 26 and 27.

The Atlantic 10 Championship will be played April 2-3 with four teams participating. The highest seed will serve as host of the event.
