Men's Tennis Adds One For 2022-23 Roster On Signing Day

Sai Dore Signed His National Letter Of Intent

DAYTON – University of Dayton men's tennis head coach Ryan Meyer will add one member for next season as Sai Dore has signed his National Letter of Intent to continue his tennis career at Dayton in the fall of 2022.

"I've had my eye on Sai for a long time," Meyer said. "He represents everything we want from a recruit. I look for him to come in and make an immediate impact on the team. We were very fortunate to receive his commitment."

Dore is a four-star recruit ranked as high as 68th in the country from Springboro, Ohio and will graduate from Springboro High School in May. A four-year varsity athlete, Dore placed third in the 2018-19 OHSAA D1 State Championships, falling to current Flyer sophomore Ronit Hiryur in the semifinals, and it marked the first time in his high school's history that a freshman placed in the state tournament. Dore is a two-time GWOC Player of the Year and a two-time Sectional Champion.

"I'm super excited to be a part of the Flyer family," Dore said. "Coach Meyer and everyone on the team were very welcoming and made me feel right at home."
