DAYTON – The University of Dayton women's soccer team scored three first half goals and took a 3-1 decision in an exhibition friendly vs. Akron at Roger Glass Stadium this afternoon. The results do not count toward either teams' record and statistics do not count.

KEY STATS
•  The Flyers had 17 shots while Akron had just seven.
•  The Zips were called for 13 fouls while UD was called for six.
•  Dayton led 5-2 on corner kicks.
•   Redshirt Junior Carly Becker had two saves in goal.

KEY MOMENTS
•  Senior Kara Camarco got the Flyers on the board first in the 19th minute. Sophomore Jessica Sheldon set up the goal with a cross into the box. Camarco settled it and finished it into the side netting.
• Moments later, in the 22nd minute, freshman Itala Gemelli, blocked a kick by the goalkeeper and promptly put away the goal.
•  The Zips answered with a goal in the 37th minute. Becker saved the first attempt by Charley Kale, but Carly Pcholinsky put away the rebound.
•  Freshman Elle Lovdal scored a little over two minutes later in the 39th minute on an assist from fellow freshman Natalie Hegg.
