WASHINGTON, D.C. – University of Dayton women's soccer senior keeper Kasey Cannistraro has been named the Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
 
Cannistraro turned in two strong performances to help the Flyers stay unbeaten in A10 play this week, stopping all five shots she faced against Saint Louis in Thursday night's 0-0 draw, setting a new high as a Flyer, and then turning aside four shots at Loyola Chicago for her fourth consecutive clean sheet.
 
Dayton played down a player for the final 54 minutes of play against Loyola, with Cannistraro facing seven shots in the second half, including three on goal.
 
Cannistraro is the first Flyer to earn a weekly award in the 2026 campaign.
