Lexie Almodovar have been named the
Ohio's College Advantage Student-Athletes of the Week for games played during the week of Feb. 22 through March 1.
A Pickerington, Ohio, native, Watson averaged 15.0 points and 5.0 rebounds while shooting 57.9% from the field in Dayton's two games this past week. He scored 16 points, including 12 in the second half, at Saint Joseph's on Wednesday. In the win at St. Bonaventure, Watson scored 14 points in the low-scoring affair, making 5-of-7 field goal attempts (2-of-3 three pointers).
Almodovar tallied a career-high 28 kills while swinging at .548 in Dayton's only match of the week, a 3-1 win over visiting Duquesne on Friday. The freshman outside hitter from Noblesville, Ind., also got under nine digs and recorded four assists. Almodovar averaged 7.00 kills/set and 2.25 digs/set for the Flyers. Almodovar was named the Atlantic 10 Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week March 1.
