DAYTON - University of Dayton men's golf head coach
Gip Hoagland has released the fall 2021 schedule, highlighted by the Dayton Flyer Invitational to be hosted by the Flyers Oct. 18-19 at NCR Country Club. The fall slate includes five events and the schedule will kick off Sept. 3.
Dayton's 2021-22 season will get underway Sept. 3-4 at the Eastern Kentucky Fall Intercollegiate. The two-day event will be played at the Colonels' home course, The University Club at Arlington, in Richmond, Ky. The Flyers will follow that up with a trip to Huntington, W.Va., for the Joe Feaganes Invitational Sept. 13-14. Marshall will serve as host and the event will be played at the Guyan Golf and Country Club. UD finished in second place out of 16 teams at its last Joe Feaganes Invitational in the fall of 2019.
Up next will be a match up against Atlantic 10 foe Davidson at its Rive Run Collegiate Sept. 20-21. The Wildcats' two-day event will be played at River Run Country Club in Davidson, N.C. Dayton will open the month of October at Cleveland State's Tom Tontimonia Invitational Oct. 4-5 at Lakewood Country Club in Westlake, Ohio. The Flyers also competed in this event in the fall of 2019, placing fourth out of 11 total teams.
To wrap up its fall 2021 season, Dayton will return home to host its annual Dayton Flyer Invitational Oct. 18-19. After a one-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the two-day event returns to NCR Country Club in Kettering, Ohio.
