NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Atlantic 10 Conference announced the league portion of the women's basketball schedule for the upcoming 2021-22 season, completing University of Dayton's schedule.
The Flyers had previously announced their non-conference slate and now have released the addition of 16 conference games.
Dayton opens the A-10 season on the road at Rhode Island on New Year's Day.
The Flyers have home conference games against St. Bonaventure, George Washington, Saint Louis, Fordham, Duquesne, George Mason, VCU, and Rhode Island. Dayton will travel to Rhode Island, La Salle, Massachusetts, Richmond, Davidson, Saint Louis, Fordham, and Saint Joseph's.
The Flyers currently have two nationally televised games on the slate with contests against Fordham (Jan. 23) and VCU (Feb. 13) on ESPNU.
Last season, UD went 14-5 overall and 12-1 in A-10 play, earning the conference regular season title. The Flyers were 8-0 away from home in a COVID shortened season and earned a berth in the WNIT.
Dayton returns the majority of its team from last season including all five starters from the championship squad. Expectations are high for the start of the season on Nov. 5 with an exhibition against IUP.
Remaining game times will be announced at a later date.
