DAYTON – The Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association released its annual All-Ohio teams and recognized three University of Dayton women's soccer student-athletes for their success on the pitch this fall.
Senior defenders
Alicia Donley and
Mackenzie Lutz joined junior
Itala Gemelli as First Team All-Ohio honorees. That was the second most by any school this season.
Donley was a leader on the Dayton defense, earning Second Team All-Atlantic accolades while appearing in 21 games. The Pickerington native totaled 11 points with four goals and three assists from the back line, ranking third on the team in points and goals.
Lutz started all 21 games in 2022 and was named First Team All-Conference, leading the Flyers to the third-fewest goals allowed in the A-10. She finished up her career having earned A-10 honors the past three seasons and making 70 appearances in the Flyer uniform.
Gemelli had a career-season, earning A-10 First Team All-Conference and leading the Flyers with 12 goals and 27 points in 21 starts. The junior forward led the A-10 in game-winning goals with seven and logged the third most minutes of any field player this fall. Gemelli also led the league in shots on goal, shots, and ranked second in points, while earning All-Academic team honors.
Overall, the Flyers went 16-4-1 on the year and 8-2 in Atlantic 10 play. Dayton advanced all the way to the A-10 Championship game and was a stellar 8-1 on the road this past season.
