#UDVB Adds Transfer Brooke Smith To 2022 Roster

Smith Played Previous Two Seasons at Louisville

DAYTON, Ohio – University of Dayton volleyball head coach Tim Horsmon has announced the addition of Brooke Smith to the Flyers' roster for the 2022 season. Brooke, a native of Leo, Indiana, comes to Dayton from 2021 NCAA Semifinalist University of Louisville, which finished ranked No. 3 in the final 2021 AVCA Top 25 Poll.

"We're really excited to add Brooke to our program and believe she will have an immediate impact," Horsmon commented. "We recruited Brooke the first time around so this was an easy decision when this opportunity opened for both of us. Louisville had a great year, and that experience should bode well for Brooke as she transitions into our program. Brooke is a point scorer and can play on either pin. She is a great young woman and a great teammate. Welcome Brooke!"

Smith spent the 2020 and 2021 season at Louisville and saw action in nine games for the Cardinals as a sophomore. At Leo High School, she was named AVCA Player of the Week, made the First Team 3A All-District roster in 2018 and 2019 and played in the All-Star game representing northern Indiana. She was an Under Amour HM All-American in 2019 and was on the 2020 Senior Aces "The 150" list. Smith played club ball with Empowered Volleyball Academy.
