Flyer Student-Athletes Are Part Of A Record-Breaking Graduating Class

Class Of 2022 Overcomes COVID-19 Affecting Their Sophomore & Junior Years

DAYTON –Approximately 1,655 undergraduates – the most in University of Dayton history –received degrees on Sunday.  Among them were more than 80 Flyer student-athletes graduated with impressive accomplishments in the classroom and in their respective sports, and will continue that excellence in the next steps of their journey.  

In addition, the senior members of the Flyer baseball, softball and track teams will be honored in their own private ceremony on Monday when they return from this weekend's out of town competitions.

Listed below you will find some of the plans of University of Dayton senior student-athletes from the class of 2022:

BASEBALL
Thomas Braybrooks – Returning for his fifth year in 2023
Jay Curtis -- Will be playing baseball for another year and then hopes to get into coaching
Bryce Hellgeth – Will return for another season at UD while working toward his MBA
Mark Manfredi – Graduated Cum Laude.  Will be pursuing his Masters in business and continue playing baseball at UD
Nick Maue – Graduated Cum Laude.  Accepted a position with Bank of America Merrill Lynch to be a Financial Solutions Advisor
Marcos Pujols – Will play another season at UD next year
Kenny Serwa – Will pursue a career in baseball.  Hoping to be drafted
Jake Silverstein – Graduated Cum Laude.  Co-Winner of The James B. LaVanche Award of Excellence to the Outstanding Scholar-Athlete Graduating in the Department of Health and Sport Science.  Has accepted a position as an Advisory Consultant with Horizon Investments in Charlotte
Nolan Watson -- Graduated Cum Laude in 2021. Wil be back for his final season in a Dayton uniform in 2023
Cody Whitten – Will continue playing baseball at Dayton
Andrew Zapka – Planning on playing professionally, followed by grad school

MEN'S BASKETBALL
Drew Swerlein – Graduated Cum Laude.  Will be working for Bank of America in Cincinnati
Christian Wilson -- Looking for a job utilizing his mechanical engineering degree in the automotive industry

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Araion Bradshaw – Graduated in December of 2020 and is finishing her Master's in December
Amari Davidson – Double Major.  Will be moving to Austin, Texas to work as data analyst for Chipper
Jenna Giacone -- Graduated in December of 2020.  Is pursuing a professional l basketball career.
Erin Whalen – Graduated in the spring of 2020 with honors. Is pursuing a professional l basketball career.
Kyla Whitehead -- Will be working in her family's real estate business doing some coaching in Columbus

MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY
Jonas Chimbanda -- Moving to Columbus to work with the civil engineering team at Korda/Nemeth Engineering Inc., an engineering consulting firm
Brandon Christopher – Graduated Cum Laude. Moving to downtown Chicago in August to start school for his DPT (Doctorate in Physical Therapy) at the University of Illinois Chicago
Sean MacGregor – Will be a Customer Relations Representative for Coyote Logistics in Chicago
Andrew Tighe -- Graduated Cum Laude.

FOOTBALL
Sam Broom -- Graduated Magna Cum Laude.  Will be working with 7 Mile Advisors bank in his hometown of Charlotte for the summer, and then will be attending the University of Notre Dame to receive his Masters in Business Analytics
Joe Bubonics – Currently playing in Spain.  Will be back in the states to teach in and coach in the fall
Jake Chisholm – Returning for his final season of football next fall, graduating in December, and then going to med school
Joe Durham – Is a Product Operations Intern at LogicGate for the summer, and then returning to UD to pursue his Masters of Engineering Management and use his fifth year of eligibility to play football in the fall
Grant Dyer – Will be working with Crown Equipment Corporation in the IT department as a System Support Analyst
Brandon Easterling – Signed with the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent
Kyle Finnick – Will play next fall at New Hampshire as a graduate transfer, pursuing his Masters in Kinesiology
Andrew Holderer – Attending Dental School at the University of Pennsylvania
Jonny Krone – Graduated Magna Cum Laude. 
Jake Lyons – Seeking a sales or marketing position in the Cincinnati area
Danny Meehan -- Graduated Cum Laude.  Double Major.  Will pursue his Masters in Education at UD
Zach Rumpke -- Graduated Cum Laude.  Will be a Sales Development Representative for Cision in Cleveland 
Owen Smith -- Graduated Cum Laude in three years in 2021. Is finishing up his MBA at Dayton.
Cameron Specht – Wil be working in Fort Myers, Florida as an Account Executive for Gartner
Mason Stauffer – Double Major.  Moving back to Nashville to work for RHM Staffing and Solutions, and also coach high-school football!
Mike Stodola – Returning to UD to graduate in December
Logan Tate -- Graduated Cum Laude.  Will be pursuing a Master's in Business Administration at Ohio Dominican while playing football as a grad transfer
A.J. Watson – Pursuing his Masters in Counseling

MEN'S GOLF
Ryan Clements – Moving to Boston in June and working for a consulting firm in downtown Boston
Blake Solomon – Graduated Magna Cum Laude.  Returning next year to complete his Flyer career
Hayden Zimmerer – Graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2021.  Will be finishing his graduate degree here at Dayton and will also be working within the communication department through a graduate student assistantship program

WOMEN'S GOLF
Sarah Frazier – Graduated Magna Cum Laude.  Will be working as a golf operations intern at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland

ROWING
Angie Loriso – Will be attending Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville on a dietetic internship to get her Master's in Nutrition & Dietetics 
Colleen McDonnell – Graduated Magna Cum Laude. Will be attending the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine 
Emma Speyer – Accepted a position with Innovation Ohio, a policy advocacy group in Columbus Ohio, as their Research and Communications Associate.
Grace Yingling – Graduated Magna Cum Laude.  Recipient of the Operations and Supply Management Professional Service Award.  Returning to her hometown of Columbus where she has accepted a position as an Operations Supervisor at DHL Supply Chain at the Brooks account
Haylee Zigmund – Graduated Magna Cum Laude.  Co-Winner of The Harry F. Finke, 1902, Award of Excellence to the Outstanding Senior in Civil Engineering.  Will be living and working in Columbus at Woolpert, a civil engineering design firm

MEN'S SOCCER
Kingsford Adjei – Playing professionally for Tormenta FC in USL League 1
Jake Feiner – Pursuing professional soccer career
Pape Gueye – Returned to his home country of Senegal and is considering starting a company to assist students from Senegal to attend college in the USA.  
Elias Harryson – Graduated Cum Laude.  Double Major.  Will be attending the prestigious Sweden University for his Masters
Nolan Hutter – Graduated Cum Laude.  Double Major.  Attending Robert Morris for grad school
Cooper Knecht – Graduated Magna Cum Laude.  Will be utilizing his fifth year while pursuing his MBA at UD
Josh Morgan – Working in San Francisco at a mutual fund company.  Currently working in the Fund Treasury department and will be rotating to the private client group next where he will work alongside the portfolio managers.  He is also the chair of the San Francisco UD Alumni chapter
Dominic Ruffolo -- Graduated Summa Cum Laude.  Earned the Award of Excellence to the Senior Majoring in Entrepreneurship Who Best Exemplifies Outstanding Academic Achievement.  Will play the next two seasons at Wright State as a graduate transfer while pursuing his MBA 

WOMEN'S SOCCER 
Alexa Holl – Graduated Magna Cum Laude.  Will be attending Marian University for accelerated nursing school to get her ABSN degree starting in August
Lexy Kidd – Graduated Cum Laude.  Co-Winner of The James B. LaVanche Award of Excellence to the Outstanding Scholar-Athlete Graduating in the Department of Health and Sport Science.  Looking for a medical sales position in Cincinnati
Gill Losey – Will have a strength and conditioning internship this summer at Ohio State, then start graduate school at Otterbein while I playing soccer as a grad transfer 
Hannah Osland -- Graduated Magna Cum Laude.  Will be an Assistant Consultant Mechanical Engineer for WSP's Property & Buildings Group in Kansas City

SOFTBALL
Alyssa Cacini – Returning for her fifth season at UD
Megan Gist -- Moving to Baltimore and attending Johns Hopkins University to obtain her Master's in Nursing Administration and Leadership
Kelsey Gumm – Graduated Magna Cum Laude.  Will move home to Spokane, WA for a summer internship with Moss Adams and then will be attending Gonzaga to pursue her Masters of Accounting.
Catherine Jensen -- Graduated Cum Laude.  Returning to California this summer and will be working at Duckhorn Vineyards in Napa Valley
Kallie Jones --- Returning for another season of Dayton softball


MEN'S TENNIS
Joe DeMarco -- Will be pursuing a Master of Science in Finance degree from Johns Hopkins University and will also be joining their men's tennis team for one season as a grad transfer
Will Harper – Moving to Atlanta to work as a Business Intelligence Associate with Search Discovery, Inc.
Steven Karl – Will be working in the banking industry in his hometown of Nashville

WOMEN'S TENNIS
Claire Ghidotti – Will be working at Orange Barrel Media in Columbus
Natalie Stanton – Returning for her fifth year of collegiate tennis

TRACK/CROSS COUNTRY
Taylor Flight – Graduated Cum Laude in 2021.  Interviewing for a Spanish teaching position in the Dayton area.  Also hopes to coach.
Aileen Hull – Core Program.  University Honors With Distinction.  Co-Winner of The Dr. Edward A. Huth Silver Anniversary Award of Excellence to the Outstanding Student in Sociology.  Has accepted a position as the Community Engagement Coordinator at the Dayton Energy Collaborative, a nonprofit working on sustainable energy programming with Dayton neighborhoods
Taylor Robertson – Hopes to work in broadcasting
Emily Sreenan – Graduated Summa Cum Laude.  University Honors Program.  Double Major.  Co-Winner of The Mary M. Shay Award of Excellence in Academic and Co-Curricular Activities.  Co-Winner of The Dr. Thomas C. Hunt Award for Outstanding Student Research Activity in the School of Education and Health Sciences with a Commitment to Catholic Education.  Taking her fifth year to continue her athletic career and begin a Masters' program at UD. Will also be a part-time religion teacher at Carroll High School in Dayton
Lainey Studebaker – Completing her course of studies at UD's PT school

VOLLEYBALL
Molly Asmus – Graduated Magna Cum Laude. Moving home to Rochester, Michigan to begin an accelerated nursing program
Maura Collins – Graduated Magna Cum Laude.  Moving to New Orleans and has accepted a job as an Associate Business Strategist with Throughline, Inc.
Elizabeth House – Graduated Summa Cum Laude.  University Honors.  Double Major.  Will be attending Florida State for a master's program in Sport Management
Alli Papesh – Graduated Cum Laude.  Moving to Chicago to get her Masters in Nursing at Rush University
Jamie Peterson – Took an assistant coaching job at Wittenberg
Mahalia Swink – Working as a territory manager for Zynex, a medical device company out of San Francisco
