Track & Field Starts Off Strong After Day One In Indiana

Top-Three Finishes And PRs Highlight Day One

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The University of Dayton track & field team finished their first day of the two-day meet at the Gladstein Invitational in Bloomington, Indiana.

Highlights

Sophomore Jayla Pruitt placed 5th all-time in Dayton's indoor track history for triple jump with a 11.44m distance , which is also a PR.
Lauren Santiago finished in 3rd place in the 400m with a time of 58.38 seconds.
Jadyn Haywood and Rayana Burns both achieved PRs in the 60m with times of 7.69 seconds and 7.99 seconds respectively.
Abby Carter placed 2nd overall in the 3000m fast section with a time of 9:48.16.
The Flyers earned 10 PRs on just day one of the two-day meet.
