Dayton Student-Athletes Will Be Recognized Throughout The School Year

DAYTON - University of Dayton men's tennis senior Connor Bruce and women's track & field freshman Jailee Clemmons have been named the Ohio's CollegeAdvantage Student-Athletes of the Week. These awards are for contests held Jan. 23-29.

Bruce, who hails from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, went 2-0 in No. 1 singles last week and 1-1 in No. 1 doubles, earning individual victories against Marquette and DePaul. The Flyers went 1-1 on the weekend. He was also honored by the Atlantic 10 as Performer of the Week on Jan. 31.

A native of Frankfort, Illinois, Clemmons set a PR with her first-place finish in the long jump at Tiffin University. Her 5.38m mark is the sixth-best result in program history and the 15th-highest mark in the A-10 so far this season.

Dayton student-athletes will continue to be recognized throughout the end of the school year.
