KINGSTON, R.I. – The University of Dayton track and field team closed out the 2023 Atlantic 10 Indoor Championships on Sunday with three Flyers earning medals and many also setting PRs. The Flyers also finished in ninth place out of 14 teams in the A-10 that competed.

Highlights

• Grace Homan won a silver medal in the shot put with her 14.11m put.
• Abby Carter claimed the bronze medal in the mile run with her 4:56.44 time.
• Jadyn Haywood earned a bronze medal and ran the fourth-fastest 60m dash in UD history by finishing in 7.58 seconds.
• Haywood finished in fourth place in the 200m finals, coming .01 seconds shy of her PR with her 24.77 second time.
• The Flyers set a total of 20 PRs between Saturday and Sunday.

"We had a lot of PRs from almost every event, and to have Grace Homan take silver in the shot [put] with Abby Carter in the mile and Jadyn Haywood in the 60m taking bronze is always great to take hardware home from the A-10 Championships," said Associate Head Coach Kevin Gilhuly. "We have a lot of returning athletes for next year, and it was great to have this experience for this group because it's going to set us up for an even stronger outdoor season."
