Coach's Quote
This week, we talked with Associate Head Coach
Aaron Gordon about his thoughts on the team's performance.
What impressed you the most about your team's performance this weekend?
"I thought we competed well considering the elements. Sometimes when the weather doesn't want to cooperate, you have to remember what we are training towards and our goals for the season. I thought the kids' mindsets were in the right spot and went out and competed hard."
How would you describe the wind's effect on this weekend's results?
"Having winds over 25 mph and the windchill in the 30s is never something you want to run in, but we showed a lot of fortitude this weekend and got better because of it. This was a great tune up for the Tennessee Invite next weekend."
How do you think the team can grow from their performances this weekend?
"As a team, we are moving in the right direction.
Abby Carter and
Jadyn Haywood led the way with top-five all-time performances, but the Throws group as a whole had the best weekend with multiple PRs in the discus, hammer, and javelin."
