Connor Bruce and
Matt DeMarco have been named to the All-Atlantic 10 first team and head coach
Ryan Meyer has been named the A-10 Co-Coach of the year, the league office announced Tuesday, May 23.
Senior
Connor Bruce has now earned first-team all-league designation in each of his three full seasons as a Flyer, having also been named following the 2021 and 2022 seasons. In 2023, the Pittsburgh, Pa. native won 18 matches playing as UD's top singles player, and added 12 wins playing primarily as No. 2 doubles. Bruce hit the 100 career win plateau (singles+doubles; fall+spring) during the spring campaign in a win over St. Bonaventure.
In addition, Bruce was also named to the All-Academic team, reserved for student-athletes that are above sophomore eligibility and a significant contributor to the team with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. It is the second time Bruce has earned the award.

The first team honor is the first for senior
Matt DeMarco, who has been All-Atlantic 10 second team in his two other full seasons with the Flyers. The Erie, Pa. native won 15 matches during dual play, all as UD's No. 2 singles player. DeMarco also contributed a team-high 15 wins in doubles, winning 12 matches at No. 1 and three more at No. 2.

Coach Meyer, who just finished his 10th season at the helm of the Flyers' men's tennis program, earned the Co-Coach of the Year award for the first time in his tenure. UD finished the season with 15 wins and made a run to the A-10 Championship match, upsetting No. 3 Saint Louis and No. 2 Richmond along the way. The Flyers have won 15+ games five times in the Meyer era - - 2023 (15), 2022 (16), 2019 (16), 2018 (18) and 2016 (16). He ranks second all-time in Dayton men's tennis history in total wins, trailing only Steve Brumbaugh, who coached from 1997 to 2009 and accumulated 164 wins.
