ST. LOUIS -- The Pioneer Football League announced its preseason all-conference team today and two University of Dayton Flyers were named to the squad.  Dayton's selections were center Dylan DeMaison and linebacker Aiden McKinley.  

DeMaison is two-time First Team All-PFL selection from Cincinnati La Salle High School.  The Flyer co-captain has started all 30 games he has played in a Flyer uniform.  He was the 2023 winner of UD's Stan Kurdziel Award (top lineman).  A senior in 2024, he was named Academic All-District and Academic All-PFL last year.  

McKinley is a redshirt junior from Louisville, Ky.  The Trinity High school product started all 11 games last season, and was second on the team with 87 tackles, including 31 solo hits.  His 12.5 tackles behind the line led the team and were second in the PFL.  His three forced fumbles were also second in the league in 2023.  Named UD's Most Improved Defensive Player, he was Honorable mention All-PFL a year ago.  

Dayton was 4-7 in Coach Trevor Andrews's first season, closing out the year with a 35-6 win at home over Marist and a 45-14 win at Davidson.   UD returns 17 starters (nine offense, eight defense).  

The Flyers report to camp for preseason camp on Friday, and will open the year at home on Aug. 31 against St. Francis.  Kickoff for all Dayton home games this year is 12 Noon ET.
