Smith, Wolf Honored As CollegeAdvantage Student-Athletes Of The Week

Dayton Student-Athletes Will Be Recognized Throughout the School Year

DAYTON - University of Dayton men's basketball redshirt junior Malachi Smith and women's basketball senior Ivy Wolf have been named the Ohio's CollegeAdvantage Student-Athletes of the Week.

Smith, a native of Bronx, New York, averaged 13.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 1.7 steals per game for the Flyers over the holidays. In Dayton's 84-70 win over La Salle on New Year's Eve, he scored 20 points (18 in the second half) to lead all scorers to go with six assists, five rebounds and two steals. 

Wolf scored a career-high 33 points and tied a career high with eight made threes on 12-of-15 shooting in UD's 69-49 win at VCU Sunday. The Minster, Ohio, native averaged 23.0 points, 3.5 assists, and shot 77.3 percent from the field in Dayton's two victories last week. The senior guard has now scored in double figures 13 games this season.
