DAYTON - University of Dayton men's golf senior
Victor Caliguri and women's soccer sophomore
Liv Grenda have been named the
Ohio's CollegeAdvantage Student-Athletes of the Week. These awards are for contests held Oct. 13-19.
Caliguri, a Cincinnati native, paced the Flyers with his second-place at Miami (Ohio)'s Moraine Intercollegiate, highlighted by his career-low round of 64 (-7) on the second 18. The tie for second place is his career-best and it's his third top-10 finish of the season. He was also named the Atlantic 10 Golfer of the Week for his efforts.
Grenda had a five-point week as the Flyers improved to 8-0 in Atlantic 10 action. The Perkasi, Pa., native both scored and had an assist in UD's 2-0 win at Saint Louis, and then found the back of the net in Dayton's 6-0 win over St. Bonaventure for her fifth goal of the season. She leads the team with five goals, four assists and 14 points this year.
