Dayton Student-Athletes Will Be Recognized Throughout the School Year

DAYTON - University of Dayton men's soccer sophomore Andrew Armstrong and women's soccer senior Batoul Reda have been named the Ohio's 529 Plan CollegeAdvantage Student-Athletes of the Week. These awards are for contests held Nov. 3-9.

Armstrong assisted on the Flyers' second goal and scored the team's game winner, his second game-winning goal of the season, Friday night in Dayton's 4-2 win over VCU in the Atlantic 10 Championship quarterfinal round. The Pompton Lakes, N.J., native got off three shots and played a total of 84 minutes.

Senior keeper Batoul Reda had two shutouts to help lead the University of Dayton women's soccer team to its first Atlantic 10 Championship title since 2016. Reda faced two shots in both matches, turning aside both of them. She was named the Atlantic 10 Championship Most Outstanding Player after allowing just one goal in the Flyers' three wins.
