DAYTON – The University of Dayton baseball team starts an eight-game homestand this weekend by welcoming Atlantic 10 rival Saint Louis to the Gem City for a three-game set.

UD and SLU start the series on Friday, March 21 with a 3 p.m. game, and are scheduled to play the final two games of the series on Saturday, March 22 at 1 p.m. and Sunday, March 23 at 12 p.m.

FlyBoys On Fire
- A trio of FlyBoys have been on fire at the plate over the last five games, led by freshman third baseman
Rylan Lujo.
- The rookie has hit .522 (12-for-23) at the plate with three homers, four doubles, 11 RBI and seven runs scored. The Coconut Creek, Fla. native's OPS over the last five games is a robust 1.643.
- Sophomore
Michael DiMartini has kept on rolling at the plate for the Flyers, hitting .458 over the last five games while hitting safely in 16 consecutive games.
- The Pittsburgh, Pa. native had his first career four-hit game at Ohio, hitting a pair of triples, and has at least two hits in 12 of the last 14 games.
- Junior
Dyrenson Wouters has hit .429 (9-of-21) at the plate while tapping into a power surge, hitting two homers and three doubles.
- The Southern New Hampshire transfer has an OPS of 1.357 over the last five games, thanks in part to a .500 on-base average.

Peguero's Ascendance
- Senior
Chris Peguero has taken his game to another level over the last three outings, giving the Flyers a bona fide ace for Friday starts.
- The Boston native has pitched seven innings in his last two starts, allowing just two earned runs to George Mason and one to Bryant in each respective outing.
- Peguero tied a career-high in strike outs with 10 over Bradley in just 5.1 innings.

League Leaders
- Dayton has multiple players at or near the top of the Atlantic 10 in multiple statistical categories, including the league leaders in hits, walks, stolen bases, and triples.
- Sophomore
Michael DiMartini has his name at the top in multiple categories, having the league's top hit total (39), stolen bases (18), and triples (5). The Pittsburgh native's stolen base and triple totals are good for sixth and second nationally, respectively.
- Senior
Mason Dobie is first in the A-10 in walks with 20 on the campaign, while DiMartini is just behind him at fourth with 16.
- Freshman
Rylan Lujo is third in total hits (37) and doubles (10), while also ranking ninth in batting average (.407).

Speed Kills
- The Flyers lead the Atlantic 10 in stolen bases this season, swiping 54 bases in 65 attempts. Dayton's 83% success rate is the best for any of the league's teams with more than 60 stolen base attempts.
- Dayton has two individuals in the top 10 of the league's stolen base race, with
Michael DiMartini leading the way with 18 and
Aiden Heberlie coming in at fifth with 13.
Rylan Lujo is just outside of the top 10 with six steals.
Scouting Saint Louis
- SLU has won three consecutive weekend series, including going 2-1 in the Billikens' Atlantic 10 opening series against Saint Joseph's.
- Riley Iffrig leads Saint Louis in average (.397), OPS (1.237), doubles (9) and RBI (21). Brenden Stressler has the second-best average for the Billikens (.292) and has the team lead in home runs (6).
- The Billikens have a team ERA of 7.07 and strikeout per nine inning mark of 8.34. Owen Kelly (5.40), Ben Cherico (5.51) and Josh Cunningham (6.62) are the scheduled pitchers for SLU this weekend.

- The Flyers continue their eight-game homestand by welcoming the Air Force Academy to the Gem City for a midweek showdown on Wednesday, March 26 for a 3 p.m. game. Dayton then welcomes Davidson to Woerner Field at AES Ohio Stadium for a three-game series beginning March 28-30.
