Baseball Falls to Bowling Green, 14-4

Michael DiMartini Finished With His Sixth Straight Multi-Hit Game

Box Score DAYTON – The University of Dayton baseball team fell to the Bowling Green Falcons on Wednesday afternoon 14-4 at Woerner Field at AES Ohio Stadium.
 
The FlyBoys plated a quick two runs in the first inning thanks to back-to-back RBI singles from Ryan MacDougall and Mason Dobie. Bowling Green quickly responded and took a 4-3 lead in the third.
 
Dayton knotted the score in the home half of the fourth on an RBI triple from Michael DiMartini. The Falcons then struck back with an eight-run inning top of the fifth inning, taking control of the game 12-4.
 
The Flyboys were unable to mount a comeback, and Bowling Green tacked on two more runs for the mercy-rule win, ending the game after the seventh inning.
