DAYTON – The University of Dayton baseball team welcomes Bryant University for a three-game series this weekend, March 7-9, at Woerner Field at AES Ohio Stadium.

UD and Bryant will be broadcast on ESPN+ on Friday, while the second two will be audio streamed on the Gem City Sports Network.

Players of the Week
- The FlyBoys had two players of the week this week, the Atlantic 10 announced late Tuesday night, as sophomore
Michael DiMartini earned Co-Player of the Week and freshman
Rylan Lujo was named Rookie of the Week.
- DiMartini hit .500 with a 1.516 OPS, hitting three home runs, scoring 12 runs, driving in 10 more and leading Dayton to a 4-1 week. The Pittsburgh, Pa. native also went 10-for-10 in stolen bases on the week.
- Lujo continued his incredible start to his collegiate career, hitting .526 with a 1.524 OPS, driving in 12 runs on the back of four doubles and two triples. The Coconut Creek, Fla. native also scored seven runs, walked four times and stole three bases in three chances.

D-MArt Keeps It Rolling
- In addition to his Player of the Week honor,
Michael DiMartini has kept right on rolling at the plate in the FlyBoys two midweek games this wee, hitting .750 (6-for-8), with a 2.778 OPS.
- The sophomore has hit two doubles, a triple and two home runs this week against Bellarmine and Bowling Green, driving in six runs and scoring two more.
- DiMartini currently ranks in the top five of the Atlantic 10 in average (.429 - 5th), slugging (.875 - 5th), OPS (1.375 - 5th), runs scored (19 - 4th), hits (24 - 2nd), RBI (18 - 3rd), and home runs (6 - 2nd).

Freshman Phenom
- Freshman
Rylan Lujo has started every game at third base for the Flyers while hitting third in the order. He is second on the team in batting average (.392) and has reached base at a .452 clip. The Coconut Creek, Fla. native has six doubles, two triples, 11 runs scored and 13 RBI in his rookie campaign.
Scouting Bryant
- Bryant is 4-5-1 so far this season, most recently coming off an 11-1 midweek victory over Merrimack on Tuesday.
- Brandyn Durand leads the Bulldogs on the offensive side of the ball, hitting .425 with a 1.290 OPS. He's got four homers, four doubles and 15 RBI.
- The pitching has a team ERA of 4.73 on the campaign, with starter Michael Belcher leading the way with an impressive 2.19 ERA in 12.1 innings of work. Belcher also leads Bryant in strikeouts this season with 17, and has walked only four batters.

-Â The Flyers are scheduled for one midweek matchup next week, traveling to Akron to take on the Zips on Tuesday, March 11 at 2 p.m. Dayton then opens Atlantic 10 play with a weekend series at George Mason March 14-16.
