UD And URI Are Tied Atop The A-10 Standings

DAYTON – The University of Dayton baseball team travels to Rhode Island for a crucial three-game Atlantic 10 series against the Rams beginning Friday, April 18 at 3 p.m. at Bill Beck Field.

Both the Flyers and Rams are tied atop the A-10 with conference records of 10-5. UD and URI are also tied with George Mason, Saint Joseph's and Davidson.

COMEBACK KIDS STRIKE AGAIN
- Dayton defeated Ohio University on Tuesday night in comeback fashion for the second time this season, topping the Bobcats 10-8 at Woerner Field.
- OU jumped out to a 5-0 lead before UD started its comeback, getting two runs in the second on an Adin Zorn home run, and knotting the score in the fourth with a four-run frame.
- The Bobcats regained the lead in the top of the sixth, but the Flyers struck back immediately with a home run from Martin Howell and a two-run, two-out single by Ryan MacDougall.
- UD also topped the Bobcats in comeback fashion when the two played in March, with the FlyBoys coming out with a 10-9 victory in 12 innings.

- After starting the week with one hit in each game, Lujo went 3-for-5 and 2-for-2 in the Flyers' last two games against George Washington. Lujo slugged a grand slam in UD's finale against the Revolutionaries to help complete the sweep.

MR. 500
- Sunday's win over George Washington pushed Dayton to 20-18 on the season and 10-5 in Atlantic 10 play, and also gave first-year head coach Scott Loiseau his 500th career victory.
- Loiseau racked up 480 wins at NCAA Division II Southern New Hampshire, leading the Penmen to 11 consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, including eight NCAA Regional finals (including seven-straight) and five trips to the NCAA Division II College World Series.
