DAYTON – The University of Dayton baseball team continues its road swing with a midweek stop at Eastern Kentucky on Tuesday night, taking on the Colonels at 6 p.m. at Earle Combs Stadium.

Ty Mainolfi hit .412 for the week with a .931 OPS, hitting two doubles, driving in three runs, and scoring four himself.
- Upon getting moved to the No. 2 spot in the order, the Long Island, N.Y. native had a three-hit performance for the Flyers at Rhode Island.

Heller The Hurler
- Freshman
James Heller delivered one of the top performances of his young career against Rhode Island, allowing just one hit and surrendering two walks in three innings of play.
- The Los Angeles native held the Rams' offense in check, striking out a pair of the 11 batters he faced.

Bad Luck Bennett
- Sophomore lefty
Bennett LaPalm came out on the tough end of Dayton's Friday night loss at Rhode Island, taking the game's loss after allowing two unearned runs on two hits while striking out a pair in three innings of work.
- Despite falling, LaPalm dropped his ERA to a team-leading 5.59 for the season and has struck out 35 opponents on the year.

On the Horizon
- Dayton's game against cross-town foe Wright State is on the horizon, with the #FlyBoys and Raiders set to play Tuesday, April 29 at Day Air Ballpark.
- This year's Day Air Game is the second time the Flyers and Raiders have played in the home of the Dayton Dragons, with UD coming out on top in convincing fashion, 8-3.

Comeback Kids Strike Again
- Dayton defeated Ohio University on Tuesday night in comeback fashion for the second time this season, topping the Bobcats 10-8 at Woerner Field.
- OU jumped out to a 5-0 lead before UD started its comeback, getting two runs in the second on an
Adin Zorn home run, and knotting the score in the fourth with a four-run frame.
- The Bobcats regained the lead in the top of the sixth, but the Flyers struck back immediately with a home run from
Martin Howell and a two-run, two-out single by
Ryan MacDougall.
- UD also topped the Bobcats in comeback fashion when the two played in March, with the FlyBoys coming out with a 10-9 victory in 12 innings.

Day Air Game Tickets On Sale Now
- The Dayton baseball team and the Dayton Dragons have announced that tickets for the Flyers' 2025 Day Air Ballpark game against Wright State on April 29 are now on sale.
- Tickets are $10.00 for all spectators. Students from both the University of Dayton and Wright State will be admitted free of charge.

Scouting Eastern Kentucky
- EKU has a record of 7-33 on the 2025 season with a 4-14 mark in Atlantic Sun play. The Colonels are on a five-game losing streak.
- Diego Alana has the top average for Eastern Kentucky this season, turning in a .319 mark, while Julius Scearce leads the team with six home runs and an OPS of .745.
- The pitching has a 7.68 ERA on the season and is allowing opponents to hit .297.
- UD and EKU have played one another in at least one non-conference game in every season since the 2016 campaign (not counting the 2020 COVID season). The two split last season's games, with each winning in the other's home park.
