WASHINGTON - University of Dayton softball senior Chloe Wong earned her first Atlantic 10 Under Armour Softball Player of the Week honor of the season after leading the Flyers with a 6-for-10 week at the plate.

Fordham's Sydney Wells was named Co-Player while Saint Joseph's Taylor Trowbridge received Pitcher of the Week and St. Bonaventure's Mackenzie Frani earned Rookie of the Week. The awards, which were announced on Monday, are for games played from April 14 to April 20.

Wong led the team with a 6-for-10 (.600) week at the plate to go with a .667 on-base percentage, a 1.300 slugging percentage, seven RBI, four runs, two home runs and two walks. On Wednesday against No. 24 Ohio State, she was 2-for-2 with a home run and two RBI. Wong followed that with a career-high-tying four RBI on two hits and scored two runs in the series opener against Fordham. She had three consecutive multi-hit games this week and currently leads the team with a six-game reached base streak.
