NEW ORLEANS, La. – University of Dayton javelin throwers Casey Bogues and Daniela Peralta have been named All-Academic Athletes for the 2025 NCAA Division I Women's Track & Field seasons by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
To qualify for the honor, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher on a 4.0 scale (including the most recent grading period) and must have participated in at least one round of the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
This marks the fourth time Bogues has been named an All-Academic Athlete by the USTFCCCA. The graduate student, who was also named to the Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team in May, capped off her career at the NCAA East Regional. A native of Red Bank, New Jersey, Bogues is one of the most decorated athletes in program history. She is a four-time Atlantic 10 champion in the javelin, holds 16 career wins, and owns the program's longest throw. A two-time U.S. Olympic Trials qualifier, she recently earned her master's degree in Literacy with a perfect 4.0 GPA in graduate school.
Peralta, a Sport Management major, earns All-Academic honors from the USTFCCCA for the first time. The Gillette, New Jersey native recorded a personal-best throw of 47.50m to win the Mount Union Last Chance Meet in May — the third-longest javelin throw in program history. After missing most of the 2024 season due to injury, the redshirt sophomore bounced back in 2025 with seven top-five finishes and a trip to the NCAA East Regional.
